This learning event is right for you if you are a leader of teaching and learning.

Description                                   

A dynamic and interactive network for leaders of teaching and learning. 

This network provides leaders with an opportunity to learn, make connections and be curious in a highly professional, supportive and customised environment. The network meets once a term and has a focus on maximising opportunities for leaders to learn from each other. 

This network meeting will be held online with time given to:  what is new in teaching and learning, how we are applying leading educational research in our schools, as well as exploring ‘the burning questions’ that challenge us on a day-to-day basis.

Finding commonality across different contexts allows practice to deepen and perspective to broaden

Presenter information

 

Karen Milkins-Hendry

Karen Milkins-Hendry is Dean of The Development Centre at Independent Schools Victoria. Her 26 years working in schools included leadership experience that spanned across pastoral and academic areas with extended periods as Acting Principal. This background provided valuable strategic skills and experience to bring into both the development and implementation of leadership programs. With a teaching background as broad as Specialist Mathematics and Chemistry through to VCE Theatre Studies, Karen relishes her current role of engaging with the broader educational community with a view to providing evidence-based support to the unique improvement journey of schools.
