This learning event is right for you if you are an educator who wants to design solutions to challenges, find new ways forward in strategic planning and develop innovative strategies to make the most of opportunities.
Contemporary schools need to be agile. They need to be able to reassess, adapt plans and iteratively experiment with ideas, as they navigate the uncertainties and complexities of the world
Schools may be faced with the challenge of moving their whole educational experience online in the face of a pandemic, or they may be given a golden opportunity to redesign a learning space to better support collaboration. Whatever the challenge or opportunity, there is a need to develop the capacity to deeply understand the context, generate great ideas for solutions and trial them quickly and at low cost.
With this in mind, Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) has developed a coherent and adaptive approach to innovation. It brings together world-class processes, strategies and tools that have been created and adapted to the context of Victorian Independent schools; we call this innovationXdesign.
innovationXdesign evolves best practice approaches from the world of design thinking. It leverages routines that help make thinking visible and uses our growing understanding of building sustainable change in an organisational context. It has been designed to help educators understand more about innovation practice, and to unpack the necessary mindsets, skillsets and toolsets to explore and find solutions to everyday challenges – both in and out of the classroom. Better still, it has been developed especially for the context of Victorian Independent schools.
Our blended learning approach provides synchronous support with a design coach, along with exclusive access to our innovationXdesign guide and the toolkit of strategies and approaches.
Member price: $1600 for a team of 4 to 6 people
