Audience 

This learning event is right for you if you are keen to grow your knowledge and understanding of contemporary feedback and feed forward practices in your classroom. You might be an experienced teacher who wants to develop your expertise or a new teacher who wants to revisit key content from your pre-service days.

Description                                  

Feedback lets the student and/or teacher know about the student’s performance relative to the learning goals. Appropriate and timely feedback provides direction for the student’s effort and next learning. The same data ‘feed forward’ by informing the teacher’s planning, allowing learning activities to be modified to meet the needs of the learners. This webinar will provide an overview of feedback and feed forward strategies, allowing participants to create a strong foundation for further learning.

When educators use strategies that have high effects, they can accelerate student learning and maximise their impact.  Feedback has been identified as a High Impact Teaching Strategy.  Using feedback appropriately can accelerate learning for students and their teachers.
