This learning event is right for you if you want to build a healthy shared culture for yourself and your teams; you have challenging relationships in your teams which you’d like to improve or you want to help yourself and your team and community to feel well and flourish
We know from decades of research that people and cultures flourish when they have feelings of competency, relatedness and autonomy. But how do we build these feelings and experiences in teams we lead or communities we are a part of?
In this workshop we will explore the foundation stones of wellbeing and healthy cultures, and explore how we can use the way we talk to promote them. We look at the how to shape cultures of communication. You will learn strategies for different types of conversation that maintain a healthy community. You will build your skills that allow you to talk in ways which support others’ feelings of autonomy, competence and relatedness. We will explore how to promote wellbeing for yourself and within your setting.
This workshop will cite the extensive research building upon the work of Ryan and Deci’s self-determination theory and explore what this means for schools.
