This learning event is right for you if you are a Principal, Deputy Principal, Head of Curriculum or a Registrar.
This three-hour webinar will explore in greater detail the Enrolments section within the VRQA Minimum Standards. An overview of the minimum standards and what this means for schools in terms of policy and practice will be the focus of this session.
In Victoria, schools are reviewed to make sure they are meeting the minimum standards and other requirements for registration as outlined by the VRQA.
- information pertaining to enrolment contracts, visas and student family background
- understanding of Interstate Student Data Transfer, immunisation and privacy
- Information on students with disabilities and family law.
Peter Roberts is currently Independent Schools Victoria’s Director, School Services, and the Company Secretary of the Victorian Independent Schools Block Grant Authority. He joined ISV as the Manager, Compliance Framework. In his roles, Peter provides advice and support to Independent schools, particularly in the areas of compliance and accountability, capital projects and school operations. He has played a leading role in implementing various Australian and Victorian Government education programs focused on school performance and infrastructure improvement. Prior to joining ISV, he spent twenty years working in schools, most recently as an Assistant Principal at a large metropolitan school.
Kieren Noonan is Head of Innovation and Learning at Independent Schools Victoria, with over 20 years’ experience as an educator, 9 years in senior leadership and 5 as school Principal. He commenced his teaching career as a primary classroom teacher, whilst taking on various leadership roles and positions of responsibility. Kieren went on to demonstrate his leadership skills by taking on a Deputy Principal role and then Principal position. He thrived in his role as Principal, being able to serve the school community in a pastoral, strategic and academic capacity, whilst undertaking and navigating significant change within the school community over the course of his leadership.
