The session will take participants through the process for applying for State Support Services Funding.
The NCCDSSD will be discussed in relation to the processes to be followed in collecting the data, the whole school approach to the NCCDSSD and its connection to funding for students with disabilities.
There has been a change in the way in which students with disabilities in schools are funded by the Commonwealth Government. All schools in Australia are required to take part in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability and it is important that all schools follow the guidelines set out by the Commonwealth government in collecting this data.
- knowledge of the steps to be followed by a school when applying for State Support Services Funding
- an introduction to the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability
- an awareness of the materials available to assist schools in meeting the requirements of the NCCDSSD
- an understanding of the importance of a whole school approach to the collection of data for the NCCDSSD.
