This learning event is right for you if you are a Year 3 to Year 6 primary teacher looking to amplify your unit planning


Amplify your unit planning for the contemporary learner – Year 3 to Year 6 has your students at the forefront of every unit plan. This one-day workshop will be highly interactive, encouraging you to embed the most up-to-date techniques in order to engage each and every learner in each and every class.

Participants will work with ISV staff and experienced current practitioners to embed collaboration and communication, critical thinking and creativity, exploration, experimentation and knowledge building, and reflection into their planning. The aim of this workshop is to create meaningful and relevant units that lead to high levels of engagement and empowerment of both the student and teacher.

Participants will receive coaching from presenters on the day, as well as a follow-up session to track progress and success of the implementation.

Presenter information

Helen Schiele

Helen has worked in the educational field for over 26 years. She has worked in the areas of curriculum design, differentiation, professional learning communities, Cognitive Coaching and literacy and numeracy strategies. Helen has worked extensively as an early childhood practitioner, predominately in low socioeconomic areas and multicultural communities. Helen’s extensive experience as a generalist teacher in both the primary and secondary fields also includes leading initiatives in the area of gifted education and philosophy. She is passionate about the early years and for children to be successful and respected as unique thinkers within their educational journey.
