Description                                       

The use of Class Notebook is becoming very popular and has been a game-changer in education. The aim of this one-day workshop is to equip participants with the knowledge of this platform and familiarise themselves with its features by setting up a Class Notebook for one of their classes. OneNote has the capacity to save time, be an effective vehicle for feedback, facilitate collaboration and keep content organised. This workshop is recommended for new and beginning users of Class Notebook.

Presenter Information

James Poon                       

James Poon is a senior mathematics teacher with a demonstrated history of working with technology in the classroom. In his role as a Learning Technology Consultant, he was instrumental in introducing the use of Class Notebook in his previous school. James has continued to work with his colleagues in this area as an Innovative Coordinator at Carey Baptist Grammar School. He has also been a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert working with the Microsoft team to reach out to the teaching community.

Thomas Christiansen                     

Thomas Christiansen has experience as both an english and mathematics teacher and has used technology, and particularly OneNote, extensively in the classroom. He has worked as an Innovation Coordinator and Head of Innovation, and regularly runs workshops on a range of tools for teaching. Thomas is passionate about the effective use of technology and has used OneNote as a basis for flipped lessons and his maths videos on his website, www.mathsfactory.com.au.
