This learning event is right for you if you are a Board Member, Principal or member of a senior leadership team and your school is looking to engage in a strategic planning process for the school.
This part webinar and part face to face session will equip participants with a practical strategic planning process and tools to reflect on past performance, current conditions and establish future directions. The approach will involve school stakeholders to contribute to the development of the broad vision and future direction of the school.
Strategic plans provide a map of the future; however, they don’t provide a compass. When implementing a strategic plan, leadership teams need to be agile and respond to changing local and global context to adopt and revise strategy to get to the envisaged destination on the map. To be successful you require both the map and compass.
The strategic planning process will diligently allocate appropriate resources, guide you in engaging your stakeholders and empower the leadership to implement the plan and track progress against agreed goals.
This learning event supports creating best practice toward meeting the following VRQA standard(s):
- School governance – Governance
- School governance – Philosophy.
- a phased plan to developing or updating a strategic plan for your school
- tools and guides for engaging stakeholders
- tips for analysing school data and information.
