Middle Leaders, those taking on Middle Leadership roles in 2024

Description

This masterclass, based on Gavin Grift’s new book Emerge, will encourage participants to apply the self-knowledge gained from the day to move them closer to their own mission for leading. Participants will learn more about their ingrained dispositions, motivations, and physiological responses to help them grow their emotional intelligence when leading others. They will have potential blind spots illuminated and be encouraged to do something valuable with those as they come to view both problems and people as their greatest opportunity for growth.

You will come away with tools and resources to grow as a leader and learn to overcome five common pain points:

  •       The pleaser – overcome the need to be liked
  •       The ostrich – overcome the overwhelm of constant change
  •       The imposter – overcome self-limiting beliefs
  •       The dynamo – overcome constraints on our time
  •       The judge and juror – overcome difficult people at work

Gavin Grift has once again sprinkled his magic on the page to create Emerge, a must read for middle leaders and those who mentor and support them. A self described ‘conduit’ between the middle leader and the experience of thousands of leaders, Grift generously invites the middle leader into a journey of self awareness, readily sharing wise insights to enable leadership growth.  The use of personal experience, an invitation to reflect and quality questions in the Emerge exercises at the end of each chapter (Grift is the consummate coach, after all), provide the middle leader with a well structured learning guide to build capability, tackle common challenges and overcome the traits that can sometimes block the leader’s confidence.  Almost as good as participating in a Grift workshop!
