isComply is a new online portal developed by Independent Schools Victoria especially for Independent schools. It is structured around the VRQA minimum standards and other requirements to support schools to manage their compliance and other regulatory obligations. It contains an extensive range of model policies, guidance materials and compliance information. While the minimum standards and requirements are at its core, isComply will also encourage schools to draw on the wealth of resources across the isEducation product suite and experts at Independent Schools Victoria.
This briefing will provide an overview of isComply and how users can access and navigate the resource, which is provided to all member schools as part of their ISV membership.
This learning event supports creating best practice toward meeting the following VRQA standard(s):
- Other requirements for school registration – Reporting to the VRQA
- Develop understanding of isComply
- Deepen understanding wealth of resources across the isEducation product suite and experts at Independent Schools Victoria to support schools to address their regulatory obligations
Michelle Green has been Chief Executive of Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) since 2002. Michelle came to ISV with extensive experience in managing member organisations, particularly in the health sector, and working with government. She has chaired a variety of organisations in the not-for-profit area, including in health and industrial relations, and has significant experience in practical governance matters. Michelle has been at the forefront of significant change and development in education in Victoria and nationally. To help Member Schools meet these challenges, she has focused ISV on research, governance and relations with governments and media. In advocating for the rights of parents to choose the best education for their children, she believes that they and all Australian schools need financial support to build an education system that serves a creative, modern, diverse and prosperous nation.
Peter Roberts is currently Independent Schools Victoria’s Head of School Services, and the Company Secretary of the Victorian Independent Schools Block Grant Authority. In his roles, Peter provides advice and support to Independent schools, particularly in the areas of compliance and accountability, capital projects and school operations. He has played a leading role in implementing various Australian and Victorian Government education programs focused on school performance and infrastructure improvement. Prior to joining ISV, he spent twenty years working in schools, most recently as an Assistant Principal at a large metropolitan school.
David is a member of the School Improvement Team at ISV and the project leader of isComply. David has led schools and networks in the independent, government and international sectors here and overseas.
