Each monthly webinar will explore a key facet of successful Consent & Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) with expert guest presenters and practical strategies to support all school staff to have important conversations with students, parents and carers. Topics include:

Dr Tessa Opie 

Respect Collective

Dr Tessa Opie is the founder of inyourskin and co-founder of Respect Collective. She is an advocate for healthy and consenting relationships. Tessa has extensive experience in education delivery, working as an educator across the government, not-for-profit, and private sectors. Tessa has worked as an expert consultant for several Education Departments including, the South Australian Department for Education, the Western Australian Department of Education and the Northern Territory Department of Education. Tessa has also provided expert consultation regarding the National Framework for Respectful Relationships Education that has been developed to provide guidance to primary and secondary schools in the delivery of evidence based respectful relationships education programs. 

In 2018, Tessa co-published a national position paper, as lead author, detailing comprehensive, evidence based relationships and sexuality education in Australian schools. She has also recently published a paper which considers the role of sex positive relationships and sexuality education in the prevention of sexual violence among high school students. 

In 2019, Tessa worked as a consultant for a 4-part SBS series, The Hunting.

In 2021, Tessa was involved in the National Health and Physical Education Curriculum Leaders Forum, presenting her work on best practice consent education. 

More recently, Tessa has been collaborating with Dr Monique Mulholland and Dr Fida Sanjakdar (Monash University) on a project exploring Relationships and Sexuality Education for multicultural classrooms. She has also been collaborating with Mancel College to develop a Relationships and Sexuality Education curriculum for young people with Language Disorder. 

Kerrin Bradfield

Respect Collective

Kerrin Bradfield, is a passionate advocate for lifelong sexual rights and promoting open conversations about sexuality. They have delivered sexuality education to diverse audiences, ranging from kindergarten students to United Nations staff, reaching tens of thousands of individuals. With almost a decade of experience in a women's service, Kerrin has extensive knowledge in the intervention and prevention of sexual, domestic, and family violence. They actively work towards improving access to Relationships and Sexuality Education for all individuals, collaborating with policymakers, researchers, and advocacy groups to promote Comprehensive RSE.

Kerrin's expertise extends to addressing technology-facilitated sexual violence, having collaborated with the Queensland Police Service and Match.com (Tinder/Bumble) on a world-first campaign. They are also currently involved in research aimed at enhancing legal, policy, and practice responses to the intersections of domestic violence perpetration and child sexual abuse offending. Additionally, Kerrin has advised the Queensland Department of Education on the consent education rollout and contributed to the development of a national framework for Respectful Relationships Education under the National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Girls 2022-2027.

As an respected facilitator at the QLD Police Academy, Griffith University, and QUT, Kerrin shares their knowledge with current and future professionals. They have also served as the National Chairperson of the Society of Australian Sexologists, highlighting their dedication to advancing the field of Sexuality Education, therapy and research.  

Together, Kerrin and Tessa established Respect Collective in 2023 with a vision to make comprehensive, evidence based Relationships and Sexuality Education more accessible for students across Australia
