Audience 

Principals, Executive Principals, CEOs, Heads of School/Campus, Business Managers, Risk and Compliance Managers in Special Assistance Schools, Small Schools (under 100 students) and Special Schools.

Description                                   

These online briefings will keep leaders in Special Assistance Schools, Special Schools and Small schools up to date on topics relevant to them. Regular topics will be funding (including NCCD), risk and compliance, changes and updates at ISV and system level information sharing. The sessions will include a Q and A component. They will not be recorded but a resource will be distributed to registered members with follow-up information, key points and resources. This briefing is to compliment other networks leaders might be part of, such as SAS Principals and Leadership, Small School Network, Business Managers Network and Risk and Compliance Managers Network. It also is for Principals and leaders who cannot attend these networks to be across critical information.

Presenter Information

Marianne Dienes

Marianne brings over 23 years of experience as a social worker across the child, youth and family and education sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from La Trobe University and a Master of Advanced Social Work from the University of Melbourne.

Marianne has held senior roles in both the Department of Education and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. She spent 12 years working in a Victorian Special Assistance School, including leadership roles. 

Marianne has expertise in trauma-informed practice in education as well as restorative practices. She has a particular interest in secondary traumatic stress among school staff and the application of implementation science to drive sustainable change in educational settings. A passionate advocate for Special Assistance Schools, Marianne is committed to ensuring that every Victorian student has access to the right environment to thrive and succeed in their education.
